My Mrs (No Link) is having this done at the moment, she shopped around like fuck and ended up having the treatment in Slovakia (Bratislava).
2 implants, plus some other treatment for just over 2k vs over 5k for the same here and it’s a top notch clinic and she’s had no issues.
Invoves 3 trips over a 4-5 month period and we fly for no 3 tomorrow, but flights were just under 50 notes with Ryanair, with hotel / beer being cheap once you are there, so financially it makes sense and you get a few days on this piss in a nice place.

My wife is a very nervous dental patient but she had an implant last year and it all went well with no complaints of pain etc. Cost about two grand. Between you and me I think she fancies the dentist.

Dentures only fit for a while because the bones shrink in the absence of teeth. This doesn't happen with implants. You can have a whole row mounted on 4 implants which should last decades if looked after. I've thought of having most or all of my upper row replaced. Looks a bit gruesome on YouTube though.

I had to have all my teeth (21 of them) out early last year due to abscess's in both lower & upper jaws in which surgery was required as part of the lower jaw needed rebuilding, the whole procedure was done by the dental unit at the local hospital, implants were out of the question due to cost (£13000) so I had full dentures made at a cost of £1200 which fit perfectly and I didn't have to go back for any adjustments.

how can they take bone from your nose, its all cartilage isnt it ?
they usually take it from the back of the jaw, or your hip

That's an NHS dentist, who is my regular dentist, but this was effectively a private job.

Had a front tooth done about 18 months ago, £2,750,NHS.
Grafted bone off the inside of my nose, to help the implant take. Not pleasnt.
The other 5 or 6 visits were tolerable.
Worth the money, if you can afford it.
Let me pay on the drip, £500 a visit or so.

The work isn't all carried out by trainees, it's done by experienced dentist trainers who are teaching / showing / retraining other dentists. They need the volunteers in order to train, hence the fees are quite good. I hear what you are saying, though.

Going through this process currently
A course of cleaning and preparation will take upwards of 9 months whilst the implant takes place...Has to embed in...then veneers added
2500 quid front 2 teeth

Being a front tooth. I highly suggest you don't go the trainee route. Getting the gum line right is important, otherwise you're defeating the purpose which is purely cosmetics
